-burn in a draft free area clear of flammable objects -keep out of direct sunlight to prevent damage and discoloration of wax -make sure candle is placed on a stable, heat resistant level surface -extinguish if flame becomes too high or if flame flickers repeatedly -keep wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to avoid carbon buildup -the recommended burn time is 3-4 hours
